Hew Wagner is a Melbourne-based media composer specialising in orchestral music for games, film, and television. A graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music Performance with Honours, he has also studied composition and orchestration. His music reflects a wide range of influences, from classical and contemporary concert music to film and games, informed by his background as an opera singer. He additionally collaborates with other composers, providing additional music, mixing, sound editing, orchestral mock-ups, and custom sampled instrument design.

• Four Corners - Arrangement and Production of the new version of the theme (Written by Rick Turk) for the ABC.

• Hollow Knight: Silksong - Additional editing and vocals for composer Christopher Larkin.

• Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault - Additional music for composer Christopher Larkin.

• Residence - Feature film directed by Matt Mirams. Premiered at the Capitol Theatre, Melbourne on August 3rd 2024. Full release and soundtrack album coming soon.

• Sample library demos for companies including Impact Soundworks, Librewave and Triple A Audio.

• Demonlore - (Previously known as Riftbound) Game by Melbourne based Barrel Smash Studios, now available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, soundtrack available on Bandcamp and Streaming services. Featured at APRA AMCOS High Score 2022.

• The Companion – Game by Studio 46, now available on Steam and the Nintendo Switch Store, soundtrack available on Bandcamp, Steam, and streaming services. Official selection in the London Games Festival. “Stunning in both sound and visuals” – Chelsea Leah, WIRED. Featured on the ABC TV show Art Works.

• Anduin vs. Valeera: Fractured in Alterac Valley – Original music for promotional video for Blizzard’s Hearthstone expansion, co-composed with Christopher Larkin, directed and produced by Chris Kellett.
